I got this error:

error: Class names, 'java,Hangman', are only accepted if annotation processing is explicitly requested

you may have forgotten to include .java in filename for the javac command or when you named the file. double check you named the Hangman class Hangman.java and your javac command looks like this

javac Hangman.java
