JavaScript jQuery Basics Working with jQuery Collections The .each() method

Error: Did you delete or comment out the provided JavaScript code?

This error confuses me because I thought I was supposed to write my code in the function provided, which is what the comment in the function says. Instead the error is asking me to make my own I think. Even when I comment out the provided code, it gives the same error. Does anyone understand this?

index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en">
<head>
    <title>Document</title>
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css">
</head>
<body>
    <h2>My Favorite Things</h2>

    <ul class="favorite-things">
        <li>Kittens</li>
        <li>Rainbows</li>
        <li>Unicorns</li>
        <li>Sprinkles</li>
    </ul>

    <script
    src="jquery-3.2.1.min.js"></script>
    <script src="app.js"></script>
</body>
</html>
app.js
$('.favorite-things li').each(function(this) {
  // Write code here
  $('li').prepend('<input type="checkbox"/>');
});

Never mind, I solved the problem. I don't know why I got that error, but I got past it

I'll keep this here for people that get the same error. I fixed it by moving "this"(function argument) into my line of code where 'li' is. I believe I did it without quotes
