Error in HTML 5 NotesListApp

I had a problem when I downloaded notes list app and tried to run it in the browser. Based on Jim Hoskins example I am getting this error

SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected non-whitespace character after JSON data

from backbonelocalstorage and the list of notes don't appear.

Please advise
