Android Build a Simple Android App (2014) Getting Started with Android Setting Up an Android Development Environment for Windows

Error Message

I installed the Android Studio and JDK exactly as the video suggested but when I launch the Android Studio I get an error message stating that "The Environment variable JAVA_HOME (with the value of C:\Program Files\Java) does not point to a valid JVM installation".

any idea where I went wrong?
