Error null exception :attempt to invoke method with null object reference

My object that I created mTimeLabel = (TextView) itemView.findViewById(R.id.timeTextHourly); is null. When i debug it seems that the int position in the onBindViewHolder somehow cannot be found.

error:local variable position cannot be found

what happened?
