"error: reached end of file while parsing } ^ 1 error"

Hi, I'm unsure of the error that I have. It's something to do with the brackets but I've already tried to move and play around with each one of them. I checked all of my open brackets and thought they've all already been closed. I re-watched the videos many times but still can't seem to find the error. What could it be?

Example.java
public class Example {
  public static void main(String[] args) {
    GoKart kart = new GoKart("purple");
    if (kart.isBatteryEmpty()) {
      System.out.println("The battery is empty");
    }
    try {
        kart.drive(42);
    } catch (IllegalArgumentException iae)  {
      System.out.println("Alert");
      System.out.printf("The error was %s", iae.getMessage());
    }
  }
GoKart.java
class GoKart {
  public static final int MAX_BARS = 8;
  private int barCount;
  private String color;
  private int lapsDriven;

  public GoKart(String color) {
    this.color = color;
  }

  public String getColor() {
    return color;
  }

  public void charge() {
    barCount = MAX_BARS;
  }

  public boolean isBatteryEmpty() {
    return barCount == 0;
  }

  public boolean isFullyCharged() {
    return MAX_BARS == barCount;
  }

  public void drive() {
    drive(1);
  }

  public void drive(int laps) {
    int newAmount = barCount = lapsDriven;
    if (laps > MAX_BARS) {
      throw new IllegalArgumentException("Not enough battery remains");
    }
    barCount = newAmount;
  }

}

I think you missed one curly brace in your Example.java .

public class Example has an opening curly brace but no closing curly braces.

Thank you so much! You were correct. I got confused with which bracket went to which
