JavaScript Ember.js Ember Data Creating and Deleting Records

Error with post.get('comments').pushObject(comment);

I get an error on this line that says post.get is not a function. Does anyone know what could be the cause of this?

Could you add the code that's causing problems. My guess is that post isn't the object you want to reference; having not seen the code, my only guess is that you need to change post.get() to this.get().

Blogger.NewCommentController = Ember.Controller.extend({
    needs: ['post'],
    actions: {
        save: function () {
            var comment = this.store.createRecord('comment', {
                text: this.get('text')
            });
            comment.save();

            var post = this.get('controllers.post.model');
  ------>post.get('comments').pushObject(comment);<---------error thrown here: post.get is not a function
            post.save();

            this.transitionToRoute('post', post.id);
        }
    }
});
