Error:org.gradle.tooling.model.GradleProject.getBuildDirectory()Ljava/io/File;

Can anyone please help with this error

Thanks Andrew, I have rectified it by deleting and re-installing and also checking the proxy

Is Error:org.gradle.tooling.model.GradleProject.getBuildDirectory()Ljava/io/File; the entire error message you're receiving?

What version of Android Studio are you using? (Check the title bar to see)

Have you ever been able to build projects? If so, have you done anything such as update android studio recently?

If you close your current project and create a brand new project and try to build, does it give you the same error?
