Exception: name 'praise' is not defined

I don't see why this doesn't work. Out of ideas...

first_class.py 
class Student:
    name = "Your Name"
    grade = 24

    def praise(self):
        return "You inspire me, {}".format(self.name)

    def reassurance(self):
        return "Chin up, {}. You'll get it next time!".format(self.name)

    def feedback(self, grade):
        if grade > 50:
            return praise(self)
        elif grade <= 50:
            return reassurance(self)

You're close, but:

  • when calling internal methods, the name must be prefixed with "self."
  • the parameter "self" is supplied by the system, it does not need to be passed as an argument

Example:

            return self.praise()
