Extra Credit

I've totally been missing the Extra Credit at the bottom of each section. I only just noticed it because Jim mentions it towards the end of a video. It's my own fault for not exploring more, but the way I complete the lessons I seldom ever spend any time on that page.

Could the extra credit bits show up in the section completion modal after the reward video without messing stuff up?

That's a good idea. I always for get to look at that area too.

I made this same error.

I find the extra credit parts really help me out, make sure I really do understand whats going on. Their location is a bit silly I must say, maybe underneath teacher notes would be a better placement?

I've only seen them for a handful of videos. They should definitely be attached to pretty much every video, or at least every badge, and there should be a forum available for discussion on them.

Thanks for sharing this feedback, everyone!

We want to challenge all of you with some advanced/additional projects, research, and activities that can help you expand upon what you've learned. This is a pretty new feature for us, but one we hope to expand upon as we develop new content.

I enjoy the extra credit items as they get me searching. I have just done one for ruby. I accomplished the task, but as this is a completely new language for me, it would be good to see other ways of doing it / model answers which could be more efficient.

I honestly do not even know how to do the extra credit. every time I see the line at the bottom of the learning adventure section, there is nothing to click or input. anyone know how to do this?

There's nothing to click. Extra credit are exercises you can try out on your own.

There is no checking or answers provided for them.

It's similar to writing real code, you know you've got it right when the code works.

I had the same question. It's totally not clear how to do it. Thanks for clarification...

Is there any way to see the extra credit other than going back and watching the videos again? I honestly forget where they showed up.
