Extra Credit Challenges?

So, I'm doing the Swift Functions & Optionals course, an I don't know how to do the extra credit. What I mean by this is that I don't know how to start it. Should I write it in Xcode, or should I do it in some other way?

Hi Riley,

Extra credit challenges are simply up to your own discretion within Xcode, once you have code that works to the expectations of the challenge simply share it with us here on the forum and we can help you understand how well you went along with ways to improve your code if need be.

In reality, think of extra credit as a way to gain more knowledge without the teacher being present.

Thanks Chris!

Just one question. How exactly would I be able to take my code from Xcode and place it on the forums? I haven't done this before, so I guess you could say I'm a noob.

Any answer would be appreciated. Thanks again!

Have a read through the link below which explains the basics of markdown which is what is used here on Treehouse.

Let me know if you need any help understanding it as it can be confusing the first time round.
