197 PointsExtraction/unzip problem
When I extract all files for the android development bundle, they come up blank. I've tried it several times and tried saving to different locations yet every time the unzipped/extracted file isn't open. Was wondering if i need a program to extract it as 'unzip files' isn't an option when i right click anyway.
Cheers!

You might want to consider installing 7-Zip. A legit software that does the job. I've been using it on my computer for years now. best part is its free and lightweight without all the nonsense that other paid software have.

14,483 PointsFirst check the file size of the zip file. Windows simply drag mouse over the zip folder and it will give you info, for Mac OS right click on on the zip folder and select Get Info. If the zip file itself is 0KB, then the downloaded did not go well.
Where are you downloading the ADT bundle? From Android Website? or some place else?
There is a bundle pack that includes both eclipse and ADT , which i would suggest you download. If you already have eclipse installed simply download the ADT for your OS. For this expand Get The SDK for an Existing IDE
If you are using windows I believe you might need a software, though Windows 8 has an inbuilt extractor for zip files, for Mac OS too the default utility software will do
Hope this helps.

197 PointsThanks for the reply Gunjeet,
I'm using windows 7, and am attempting to download directly from the link supplied in the android tutorial within treehouse. I'll look into getting some software that'll unzip the files for me without clearing anything,
Thanks again!
