Treehouse TeacherFeedback on Crystal Ball before a refresh?
Hey students! I'm working on a refresh of the Crystal Ball project and I wanted to reach out for any last feedback. I hope to have it available shortly after Google I/O to allow for any new developments.
Do you have any feedback about the course that you think will help me with the refresh? Was anything particularly good or bad? Do you need more or less about anything?
We are also hiring a Java teacher, so look forward to a Java Basics course before Android development once that teacher is in place.

11,331 PointsI feel like there needs to be more time spent on fundamentals of the Java language. I liked the light hearted humor involved in some of the videos and the recaps of what we learned in the end of the video.

21,465 PointsI think it was a solid intro. I have dabbled with android before and got more of a solid foundation with some things after going thru that project. Some things were a little quick and breezed over, like the whole creating of the animation, but you are good about always referring to the android docs, so anybody with more questions about something is learning a very valuable practice from you in that. The java/programming side may have been a little "advanced" for someone without programming fundamentals. Having some basic java experience I found it easy to follow along though. I just finished the blogreader app, that was fun. Except that stupid content length error almost causing me to smash my laptop when I tried to do the ajax extra credit for 2 days lol, until I saw the forum post explaining how to fix it and do it right. Great job Ben. If you keep pumping out the Android stuff ill never be able to end my subscription to Treehouse ; )

Treehouse TeacherThanks for the feedback! I'll be refreshing the Blog Reader course very soon, too, and then I'll work with a new Java teacher on adding some Java before this as well as more material about the basics of Android development. It will be an exciting year!
