Feedback Request: My first website

After 4 months of classes and a month's worth of focused work on the site, I've finally finished version 1.0 of my website!

Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated :)

What framework / bootstrap did you utilize or did you create this from scratch?

Layout is clean. I'd hide testimonials until you have a couple (3-4) that can cycle through. Only show 1 image of a Project, not a slider. The other images aren't appealing. Round the corners on the box as well. Contact Form is too wide. Bring it in a little.

Good iPhone layout, images are still small, but nice flow.

It seems to work well, although I do feel that Raleway is a bit too thin for those colors, the thin makes the contrast between blue and black a bit harsh. just personal opinion though!

Not to bad at all, especially for your first shot at it!

I noticed you have some responsive issues to work out. One I noticed was at a smaller screen level, your navbar and footer covers up content at smaller screen resolutions.

I didn't look at your code, but I image some margin and media queries will allow you to push that content back down or up depending whether it is the footer or header.

Keep at it!

Thanks to everyone for the feedback so far! Keep it coming!

Justin, I did everything from scratch. I wanted to understand the process better before I started using frameworks. I like your comment on the images. It's definitely something I'm giving a lot of thought.

Spen, I was concerned with that at first, but I was going with a specific theme (inspired by TRON: Legacy). I originally was using the blue a lot more on the white background, but dropped it for the contrast issues.

Kevin, media queries are my next project. I was having some issues with them and decided I'd rather have a workable site to show (I applied for a few jobs/internships today) instead of perfecting it for non-desktop/laptops.

Aside from the other statements, the only qualm I really have is using Raleway for the body text. While it works for the other segments of the site, I feel that in a long body of text such as the articles, it begins to become a little difficult to read. While maybe not as stylistic, I would go for something a little more traditional and readable for the body text. Otherwise though very nice work!

Adam Soucie smart move in focusing on applying to jobs rather than perfecting media queries. What you'll find is most people who hire just want to see a portfolio or a website you've created. Doesn't have to be perfect, just something that can display your skills and capabilities. Over time perfection will kick in, but not at the beginning.

As for the images I'd definitely make the change, you're headed in the right direction though!

Great little site! I would focus a little more on the typography. Aka, the font and line height. Other than that. Great job!
