Filter and sort content (like Isotope etc.) but CSS only

Are there some ways to sort and filter galleries, index pages etc. similar to jQuery plugins like Isotope but CSS only?

The best way that I am aware of is through inputs radio buttons here is a Codepen that shows a working example hope this helps http://codepen.io/samgordon/pen/jPqqWB
