I have spent the last few hours trying to get this to work but I just can't get the function to fire. Can anyone spot something I have missed or tell me why this isn't working?

15,661 PointsYou have to include jQuery in your fiddle. Your last line, where you're trying to run a click event, is also wrong. It should be
registerButton.click(register);
I included jQuery and changed that line and it appears to have worked :)
