First time ever...using XAMPP for site development and now ads are appearing on all images once hovered.

Any suggestions?

Where did you download XAMPP? I've used XAMPP on multiple machines for 2 years now, and have never experienced that. It sounds like you may have gotten some sort of malware that is doing this.

I agree. I have Xampp on Linux and Windows 7 and not had that type of problem. Both were downloaded in the past 2-3 months.
