firstName string error

Hello, Im trying to change the string = firstName to another name. And I'm getting an error saying cant find %symbol. Am I doing something wrong. I'm copying everything from the video..

hi bashier elfergani , you should declare your variable before using it

import java.io.Console;

public class Introductions {

    public static void main(String[] args) {
        Console console = System.console();
        // Welcome to the Introductions program!  Your code goes below here
      String firstName = "Mary"; // should be here then you can use it
       console.printf("%s is nice\n", firstName);
      console.printf("%s is great\n", firstName);
