fixing the script

ive tried three different ways to solve this one ,whats wrong?

  alert("Time for a movie and dinner")

Hi Clayton Bowland ,

The logic behind the script is checking what you can afford to do on a Friday.

Currently the script is checking if you have enough money or it is Friday which is why it's failing. To make this script work you need to changed the || (or) operatiors with the && (and) operator.

For example:

var money = 9;
var today = 'Friday'

// If I have 100 and today is Friday
if ( money >= 100 && today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("Time to go to the theater");    
// Else If I have 50 and today is Friday
} else if ( money >= 50 && today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("Time for a movie and dinner");    
// Else If I have 10 and today is Friday
} else if ( money > 10 && today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("Time for a movie");   
// Else If today is friday and I have less than 10
} else if ( today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("It's Friday, but I don't have enough money to go out");   
// Else, today is not Friday
} else {
  alert("This isn't Friday. I need to stay home.");
}
