1- Put Semicolon after Friday var today = 'Friday':

2- remove all equal = from conditional statement. Just keep !== on the finale else if.

3- In the finale else if remove var today and put var money. else if ( money !== 'Friday' ) { alert("It's Friday, but I don't have enough money to go out"); :

Hi Clayton Bowland ,

You were painfully close to finishing that but just made a very easy to miss mistake in the logic.

The alert of It's Friday, but I don't have enough money to go out should be shown if today is equal to Friday but you had it showing if today wasn't Friday.

It looks like you understand the concepts but probably just a typo!

var money = 9;
var today = 'Friday'

if ( money >= 100 && today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("Time to go to the theater");
} else if ( money >= 50 && today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("Time for a movie and dinner");
} else if ( money > 10 && today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("Time for a movie");
} else if ( today === 'Friday' ) { // If today is equal to Friday, I don't have enough money to go out!
  alert("It's Friday, but I don't have enough money to go out");
} else {
  alert("This isn't Friday. I need to stay home.");
}
