Flask Basics - Character Generator, anyone else lost?

Hi All,

I was following along with this course perfectly fine, but this new section feels like it jumped ahead. Before I could write the code and comprehend what we were doing and why, now I just copy the code as he writes with little comprehension.

Is anyone else feeling this way?

With any framework, even a simplified one such a flask, It's sometimes difficult to teach all of the supporting background material necessary for everything to make complete sense every step of the process. This leads to some parts of the framework being glossed over at the beginning.

My advice is to make notes on the parts that need more explanation and see if they're explained in detail later on in the course. This will allow you to ask specific question about each aspect needing clarification. That's why we're here: We ❤ questions!! So ask as needed!!

When asking please be as specific as possible and include references to the code at issue.

Also, try searching the forum for similar questions. It's likely others were stuck in the same area.
