flex-wrap not working for me

I am trying workspace with the following code but it doesn't work

.container{
  display: flex;
  flex-wrap:wrap;
  flex-direction:column;
  transition:all;
  height:50px;
}

I don't see anything wrong with this bit of code, you might need to share your complete project to demonstrate the issue. You can do that easily if you make a snapshot (note: not "screenshot") of your workspace and post the link to it here.
