Hey Brian,

Your code seems right. What you missed was to give the footer element the class .clearfix.

 <footer class="clearfix"> <--------------------------------------------------
            <img class="logo" src="city-logo.svg" alt="logo">
            <ul class="footer-nav">
                <li><a href="#">Ice cream</a></li>
                <li><a href="#">Donuts</a></li>
                <li><a href="#">Tea</a></li>
                <li><a href="#">Coffee</a></li>
            </ul>
            <p class="copyright">&copy;2015 The Best City.</p>
        </footer>

Thanks for that, but it didn't work....... The error I get is

Bummer! Make sure you're selecting the list items inside '.footer-nav'.

I get the same if I do it this way;

.footer-nav { float: left; li { float: right; } }

Thanks David, obviously a little bit of knowledge is dangerous....
