Footer is overlaping everything on the page

Hi there, So im trying to make a website for the company I work for, and I just saw that when I add an image for exemple on my body html, it gets overlapped by my footer, I tryed to change display, position, padding, margin, and nothing works, im using Bootstrap, and then I saw that the footer was overlapping everything, even the navbar, how can I set the footer and the nav so the other page elements dont dissapear like that..

footer { clear: both; }

does that work?

Nope, had already tryed that. :(

I tryed to change my navbar div to a header element + the div where I had the image to see if it overlapped in the bottom, didnt work, tryed aswell to change everything to divs, didnt work either.. im using the normalize.css that I saw in the Build a Website course.. But I just tryed to remove it, and didnt work either.. :/

Increase Height of .container.

Do you have add style to your container or not ? because I can not see any height to your container.
