JavaScript JavaScript Loops Working with 'for' Loops Terminate a Loop

for loop break statement

Not sure why the program is telling me there's a syntax error, the console accepts it without a problem.

let message = "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious";
message = message.length;

for ( let i = 1; i < message; i++ ) {
  if ( i === message / 2 ) {
    break;
  } else {
  console.log(`Logging the number ${i}`);
}
console.log('The program continues...');

Your code is correct, however, you are missing a log message. You can place The loop terminated... message before the break statement.

let message = "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious";
message = message.length;

for ( let i = 1; i < message; i++ ) {
  if ( i === message / 2 ) {
    console.log('The loop has terminated...');
    break;
  }
  console.log(`Logging the number ${i}`);
}

console.log('The program continues...');
