28,738 PointsHello,
When you first create a project in Android Studio, the dpi based folders are not created automatically. You can create them manually and they should then show up.

909 PointsOkay i know this may sound stupid but how do i create them. Im a little lost as to how

28,738 PointsYou can either add them using your system's file manager or from within Android Studio you can go to project view and right click on the res folder and select New, Android Resource Directory(or in this case just a regular directory might work easier).

12,865 PointsAre you seeing the mipmap folders under res? because of the version of Android Studio I have my folder is not called drawable, it is mipmap-hopi, mipmap-mdpi, etc ...
if you see them drag your files in those folders and you'll be able to access your images by R.id.mipmap.
