Forum quirks

I'm having some trouble understanding the best way to use this forum. Using this discussion as an example:

https://teamtreehouse.com/forum/moving-over-from-database-to-static-cms-systems?sort=subscribed

This forum uses the Q&A format so I don't want to post a follow up question as an "answer". However, the "reply" link in that discussion was only available on the first "answer" and not on the original post. As you can see I was confused and posted my response in the wrong place. Also strange is that you can edit answers but not replies.

Overall all I like the forum but some of these inconsistencies have left me confused.

Aaron Walton, thanks for pointing that out! I think the not being able to edit a reply is a relatively quick fix, though I could be wrong. I'm going to track it down for you. Jeremy Jantz (UX guru), can you comment on the request to be able to do a 'follow-up question'? Is something like this in the works?

Hi Aaron Walton , there are a few usability issues (as you've pointed out) that we're currently working through. We've got some forum improvements planned to be rolled out in the not-to-distant future that'll address these and some other issues. Keep an eye out and thanks for the feedback!
