Forum Tip

I have been trying to learn rails and neglected ruby as I thought I will pick it up and never did. Needless to say I have now started to understand Ruby and mainly due to reading Why's Poignant guide to Ruby here for free Now I have to assume the author is slightly insane and his musings are quite strange, however whether this is his intention or happy accident, the Ruby stuff is easier to grasp than the strange stories.

So anyone doing Rails here should not miss this read

i could never go past the first few pages...maybe i'll try again sometimes then...

It's the strangest thing I have ever read excerpt below

Of course, the thieves’ preferred method of torture is to cut a priest in thin deli-shaved slices from top to bottom. Who can cull evidence from that?

why would I submit myself to this ??? lol

As I say cut though all the nonsense and you don't realise your learning Ruby and its inner workings. I suppose if you have a good understanding of Ruby already it will not benefit and may even anger you. Different strokes and all that :)
