mainly it depends on your experience & portfolio and the size of the job.

If you are new to this then I would start lower to get more jobs & build up a portfolio (or people who can give you good reviews)

I would try to talk to someone in your area in a similar industry to get a realistic estimate and specific information. If you have friends who do work similar to what you want to do that is a good starting point. You can also go to tech meetups or volunteer with organizations that promote careers in whatever area you are interested in.

One thing to keep in mind on freelancing is that you won't actually make as much per hour as you charge, because so much of your time will be spent doing things that aren't billable to a client--for example, advertising, networking, organizing your projects, learning skills, reading industry news. So don't just decide how much you want/need to earn and charge clients that amount--make sure you charge enough for your billable hours to also cover all the nonbillable stuff you do.
