765 PointsFront End Web Development - Non Artist?
I've always wanted a career in which I can punch away at keys on a keyboard in return make something someone uses. At first I though learning Python would be a good language for me to get a job with, but I didn't like the fact of writing applications for in house only purposes.
Anyways I really enjoy making money & programming websites. They go hand in hand for some, but the only problem I have is no artistic skills.
I feel as if I can program websites pretty easily but I fear if I have to do freelance I can not give the client a detailed mockup. What do you guys do? Do you freelance, if so how do you build websites while having no artistic skills?
Thanks! -DW

Courses Plus Student 6,268 PointsHi Dustin,
If you know anyone who has design skills, I recommend collaborating with them. Many designers are not that 'into' programming and it could make for a nice teamup. It's can be tough being a one-man shop, and it's always good to get to know others in the field. Plus, you don't even necessarily need to be close to one another thanks to this 'internet' thing ;-)
