So this question may be a bit long winded but here we go. I consider myself a front end developer and want to display myself as such with custom building my own single page site. But, I also know WordPress and have been using WordPress but want to move more towards full stack development with JS. My problem is, I want to have and keep a blog but want to have the single page site that is not WordPress. I'm considering moving my blog strictly to medium. Is this a crazy thing or wise thing to do?

28,407 PointsIf you want to have a blog, but not on WordPress why not look into something such as Jekyll. Jekyll is a static site generator. I've been using it for a while now and LOVE it. You can even host your site on GitHub Pages very easily. You can see my site built with Jekyll (not hosted on GitHub Pages) at http://www.mtlong.me/. I try to keep it updated.
I'm not really sure what medium is. I looked it up and it seems like something for someone with no experience with web development so I'd personally look elsewhere.
