Full Screen Background Image

I've been reading Nicks blog entry from last year about full screen background images and wanted to experiment.

I've got a basic twitter bootstrap site set up with my own style sheet attached (def linked) the bg image is in a folder called img. using the code Nick suggested -

{
  background: url(img/bg.jpg) no-repeat center center fixed;
  -webkit-background-size: cover;
  -moz-background-size: cover;
  -o-background-size: cover;
  background-size: cover;
}

however im not getting anywhere. can anyone spot an obvious mistake with this?

thanks
