Function Return Types

Not sure what I am doing wrong. func greeting(person: String) ->NSString { return person }

println("Hello (greeting("Tom"))")

Can some please explain.

Are you are trying to make a function that takes a name and returns a greeting with that name?

func greeting(person: String) -> (String) {
    return "Hello \(person)"
}

greeting("Tom")  // "Hello Tom"
