"#gallery li:nth-child(4n)" should be fixed to read "#gallery li:nth-(3n+1)". 4n is the wrong value for this case.

You are clearing after every third element, not every fourth. You can see the problem in action if you copy and paste the gallery items a few times to augment the grid.
