General Assembly review?

Hi all,

I am considering General Assembly for a coding bootcamp, and was wondering if anybody has done it and can give me a review on it? Or another coding bootcamp they did and your experience with it? Thanks!

I took the Front-End Development class there a few years ago and the instructor was an actor without any industry experience who never handed out a syllabus or documentation in any classes so we could re-create the lessons at home. Half the time his lessons in the classroom didn't work! Complaints to the supervisor of teachers just led to extra happy hours! Perhaps the teacher and his supervisor were alcoholics?! But, I've heard better things from others who attended more recently. My other problem with GA is that they teach old technology like Ruby on Rails when the future is, to me, clearly FullStack JavaScript. So I researched and found Fullstack Academy of Code [and in particular their Grace Hopper Program for women (no tuition in advance! and React, not Angular or Ruby)]. But, more than advice from me, check out CourseReport.com, a huge survey of bootcamp students from all disciplines, not just Front-End. Best to you.
