I've been a subscriber to Treehouse for about 4 months and it's been my best online resource for learning to code.
I started in the HTML/Web Design track and moved into the Python Track....I am taking classes in Web Design and Java at a community college. I am interested in learning Python and hope to sign up for a credit course next year. I hope to use the site regularly for learning Ruby, PHP and JavaScript.
I am wondering if it's possible to be in multiple tracks. I lost my web design progress when I clicked into the Python Track. I also am hoping you will have a Java Track soon and I would like to be in that one.
I guess I want to know if it's possible to be in multiple tracks.
I know that was a lot of blah blah...sorry...I also appreciate how patient all the other students and instructors have been with me. It's a wonderful supportive environment for learning.
Thank you so much.

bdw by adding the last paragraph , thats even more :D

I'm currently enrolled in the Front End Web Development track but I've also completed five of the six Python track sections. Even though I'm not officially in the Python track if I click on "Explore" it shows a check over the sections I've completed.

7,369 PointsOh well, expanding it a step further i would say :
What you see in the track, is in the library . But in the track , treehouse made it as they think its the best to learn the subject . If you did all in the library , you would have completed all tracks.
In the track, they show you what you willl be learning when you click the trailer or explore button.
e.g. PHP track, will take you from the basics of PHP to advanced building PHP Applications. ( you can still do it in the library )
same as with HTML. It teahes you HTML and teaches you step by step e.g. making tables, forms etc.. ( you can go in the library and take forms first instead of tables ) .
What you did, what you answered , it stays as it is.
The only reason is that if your new to programming, i suggest to stick with one for a good time e.g. 3-6 months depends how well you learn it .
Switching subjects , its like making a mess in your mind in a way because it takes longer to get it stuck and have memory muscle . ( i hope it sounds all right : p )
I hope thats enough and very clear.
