How do I get a date from Parse.com and display it in a label (using Swift)

 self.date = gameScore["date"] as NSDate

var strDate = self.dateFormatter.stringFromDate(self.date)

be sure and set the date format of your date formatter.

var dateFormatter = NSDateFormatter()

myDateFormatter.dateFormat = "yyyy-MM-dd"

 self.date = gameScore["date"] as NSDate

var strDate = myDateFormatter.stringFromDate(self.date)

self.dateLabel.text = strDate
