hi i want to take the android developer track so i can make gaming apps but i am wondering how much memory i need and also how can build on the skills once i finish the track also do have to go out buy android phone or tablet right away also take note all i have is a macbook with 4gbs of ram and 80gbs of space left and mac os x loin please i'm looking for advice and still lokking foward to taking the track

Having a real device is great, but not required. You can start out with the emulator and go from there. With the system you have described you may be able to setup and run Genymotion, which is an incredibly fast 3rd party Android emulator that runs as a virtual machine.

Genymotion is optimized to run lighting fast as a virtual machine. I don't know what is different that makes it so much better, but it's a much faster experience. I'll create a Getting Started with Genymotion workshop for my next project.

You mac is more at enough, i was started to make a Android apps whit a pc laptop core 2 duo whit 4gb of ram and 500gb HHD.

May be the emulator working slow, but i recomended you check you apps whit a real android device, Good luck

Genymotion is a emulator, what is the diference whit the AVD including in the SDK of android?
