When I create the treebook application, I get the below warning.
Insecure world writable dir /usr/local in PATH, mode 040777
Does anyone know why I get it?

39,199 PointsWorld writable directories are generally insecure, so Ruby is letting you know about any that are in your path.
It's a quick fix :
sudo chmod o-w /usr/local/
What this command is saying is:
Remove the write ability from the other category on the /usr/local/ directory
