when writing var_dump( $num_one + $num_two);

Hi,

you will have to do the following

var_dump($num_one + $num_two);

you may have a space at first parenthesis.

James Jones whitespace doesn't matter here.

Probably missing a semicolon at the end of the statement on line 8.

Code probably looked like:

var_dump("1") // missing semicolon
var_dump($num_one + $num_two);
