Getting PHPMailer to send the email locally using XAMPP

Hi guys,

Just finished the "Sending the Contact Form Email" video and discovered that my local installation of xampp is not sending the email...Has anyone been able to get xampp on windows to send the email locally....What settings do I need to update? Any knowledge would be appreciated...Thanks.

I don't believe you can. You'll have to test it once it's live. I've never been able to get it to, and the general consensus I've read is that a local server can't.

I am using InstantWP (http://www.instantwp.com/) to develop locally. I am also having trouble with form not submitting / sending email. Please keep me updated if you find a solution. Thanks in advance!
