Getting started with AWS

Hi there!

Does anybody have a good resource for getting started with AWS (Specifically, S3)? We want to use it to store user uploaded images for our web-app (built in PHP), but I can't find a really good getting started tutorial for it.

S3 stopped working for me on my multi-site network after i updated to WP 3.5.1.

Does anybody have any recommendations? I've spent two days trying to wrap my head around the getting started guide, but it just isn't working out for me.
