Git Commit Error: Vim: Caught deadly signal SEGV

Im using notepad and git on a windows computer and I committed my README.txt file, added a comment but I didn't know how to get out of the comment after I typed it and I'm not too sure what I did, but every time I commit I get an error saying:

Vim: Caught deadly signal SEGV

Press ENTER or type command to continueVim: Finished.

I'm not sure how to fix this or what to do from here.
