have i to sign up a github account? will it costs money?

any chance to get it for free? or any other source to get similar things for free??

Github is free for create unlimited public repositories. If you want a private repository you must pay it. Try bitbucket.org offer unlimited public and private repositories.

Also Github isn't needed for the majority of Treehouse courses - that said it seems like a vital tool to be comfortable with using if your wanting a job in the industry in the future - from what I've seen at least.
