CSS CSS Basics (2014) Basic Selectors ID and Class Selectors

Give the header element a class attribute. Then, set the class value to main-header. I need a visual example.

I am stuck here. I need to see a visual example. I can not picture how to add the class attribute in html. I may be mixing up class with ID selector.

Thanks for posting on the forums! It looks like you may be trying to select the header class rather than give it a class.

Refer to the code below - when adding a class to an element in HTML, you'll want to use the class attribute. When selecting a class in CSS, you can use the way you've done it in either a style tag, or in a separate stylesheet! I've included an example in the style.css file on how to select a class as well.
