26,287 PointsGoDaddy Sucks! What Hosting Company Do People Use?
Hey everyone,
So I've finally had the last straw with GoDaddy and I am looking to pack my site up and move away from their crap products.
I am now left with a couple of questions.
Who does everyone use for hosting that isn't slow and has good custom service and support documents as GoDaddy has lots of information but all is highly unrelating to my issues.
How do I transfer my freshly purchased 12 month hosting plan to the new hosting company?
Thanks
Stu :)

Courses Plus Student 44,108 PointsFor the past year or so, I've been using DigitalOcean (referral link or non-referral link) and I've been really happy with their services. I host both static sites and web apps there.
However, they are a VPS host. So, you'll have to take care of the server yourself. No cPanel or 1-click installs or anything like that. The upside is that they have a fairly strong community and a bunch of tutorials for setting up anything you might need. I know some people who have been hosting dozens of moderately-sized web sites on a single $5 droplet (that's what they call their VPS instances).

5,289 PointsI've tried domain.com but i didn't really like their service and to me the website was really slow on loading, even for a shared server. Some have advised me "asmallorange.com", never had the chance to try it thou... I've also had positive feedback from "Lightning Base".
