Good language for Lorem Ipsum generator

I want to create my own simple Lorem Ipsum generator, but I have no knowledge of PHP, javascript, Ruby, etc.

I figured this would be a good project to start working on my chops, but what language would seasoned developers recommend for this type of functionality?

It depends - if you just want to generate some Lorem Ipsum text in a Browser IMHO JavaScript would be the easiest and fastest way to accomplish this goal, but on the other hand if you'd like to learn way more on your (harder) journey to your Lorem Ipsum generator, PHP might be your favorite :-)

Asking which programming language is best to write a program in, is like asking which (natural) language is best to write your novel in.

Totally understood - but my question was more or less what's a good language to start with for this type of exercise (as a complete novice.)

If a writer proficient in the English language wanted to attempt to write a novel in a foreign language, I'd recommend starting with Spanish, or even Latin, before Mandarin. Thanks!

Most programming languages are a lot more alike than natural languages. For the most part it comes down to the materials available to you. The PHP courses here on Treehouse seem to be a popular choice.

If you download Sublime text 3 and go <lorem + tab it will generate a long paragraph of lorem ipsum text. I nearly feel over when I discovered this.
