So let's say I'm seeking a job as a front-end developer. What skills MUST i attain to be capable of working as a front-end developer.
Also same question but for a back-end developer. What skills. Also if i were to become a back-end developer for a company would duties would I be expected to do.
Any advise is much appreciated. Looking forward to start learning again!

For the front end the bare minimum you would need is knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript. Would also help to have some design skills in particular UX/UI design.
For the back end it really depends on the job and the environment you are working in but you'd need to be comfortable with at least one server side language such as PHP, Java or Python and a database language such as SQL.
Check out this video which provides a good overview - you don't need to know everything in this video so don't let it overwhelm you.
Hope this helps :)
