Goodbye button no longer working

After I moved the button HTML from index.pug into layout.pug the button stopped responding. I followed the code in the video and I didn't see our instructor move it the .post script anywhere else, but the button continued to work.

Has anybody run into this problem?

Never mind guys! I figured it out! It was an oversight on my end. I moved the button without moving the form it was nested in.
