Google chrome only lets me size down the browser to 400px!

It's really frustrating when sizing it down to inspect what the site would look like on a smart phone. I couldn't find a fix for this on the internet. What do you guys do to get around this stupid aspect of Chrome?!

All browsers have a minimum default size.

While checking as many physical devices as you can is always going to be the best way of testing responsive design you can use a free tool from Quirktools so you can check all your breakpoints.
